Amy was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2002. She has worked for one other local firm since admission, entering partnership in 2011. Amy joined the Solomons Partnership in June 2017.
Amy has a particular interest in mental health law and the protection of vulnerable persons under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 legislation. She has acted as court appointed Counsel for Subject Persons for over eleven years. However, she practises across a wide range of areas including:
- Property – residential, commercial and rural transactions.
- Asset Planning- trusts, wills, powers of attorney, relationship property agreements
- Business transactions and commercial leases
- Family Court applications for appointment of welfare guardians and managers
